Bio
Op 1 februari 2009 is Petanak, pseudoniem van Peter van Beurden, door het college van B&W benoemd tot Stadsdichter van Lelystad. De benoeming was het gevolg van het winnen van een poëziewedstrijd.
Driek van Wissen, voormalig Dichter des Vaderlands, maakte deel uit van de Jury.
Petanak trad o.a. op tijdens Sunsation 1998, het Seabottom Jazzfestival 2011 en exposeerde gedichten in combinatie met grafiek, tekeningen en foto's in het Parkhotel te Amsterdam, een kunstmanifestatie in Bovenkarspel en in Studio Verbeek te Amsterdam.
In 2010 zijn enige gedichten van Petanak vastgelegd op de Wandgravengalerij van de Openbare Begraafplaats in Lelystad.
Bij de opening van de nieuwe FlevoMeer Bibliotheek | Lelystad in 2010 werd een speciaal daarvoor geschreven gedicht van Petanak onthuld. Dit gedicht is bevestigd op een 8 meter hoge wand in de hal van de bibliotheek, de Westentree: gezamenlijke ingang van de bibliotheek en het Stadhuis van Lelystad.

Met ingang van 25 juni 2012 was Petanak bestuurslid van Festival Sunsation, het grootste openlucht poëzie festival van Nederland, een evenement georganiseerd onder auspiciën van Stichting Zonnewende Flevoland.
Op 12 februari 2014 is Petanak uit het bestuur van Stichting Zonnewende Flevoland getreden.
Petanak woont en werkt in Lelystad.
On February 1st 2009, Petanak- a pseudonym of Peter van Beurden, was appointed to City Poet of Lelystad by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. The appointment was the result of winning a poetry contest. Driek van Wissen, former Poet Laureate of Netherlands, was part of the jury.
Petanak was among others on stage during Sunsation 1998, the Seabottom Jazz Festival in 2011 and exhibited poems together with graphics, drawings and photographs at the Parkhotel in Amsterdam, at an art manifestation in Bovenkarspel and at Studio Verbeek in Amsterdam.
In 2010, some poems of Petanak were published on the walls of the gallery of above-ground tombs of the Public Cemetery in Lelystad.
At the opening of the new Flevomeer Library | Lelystad in 2010, a specially for that occassion written poem of Petanak was unveiled. This poem is mounted on an 8 meter high wall in the hall of the library, the West Entrance: communal entrance of the library and the City Hall of Lelystad.

As of June 25th 2012 Petanak was a board member of Festival Sunsation, the largest outdoor poetry festival in the Netherlands, an event organized under the auspices of the Foundation Zonnewende Flevoland.
On February 12, 2014 Petanak has resigned from the board of the Foundation Zonnewende Flevoland.
Petanak lives and works in Lelystad.
